British official hails investment programs of Lydian International in Armenia

Deputy Foreign Minister of UK Simon Fraser described as “extremely positive” the investment programs of Lydian International in Armenia’s mining industry.

Lydian International will exploit the “Amuslar” gold mine and will invest overall $400 million in Armenia.

“We have discussed the programs of this company with the President and the Prime Minister of Armenia. It’s noteworthy that Lydian will operate conducting a very careful environmental policy,” said Simon Fraser at a joint press conference with the Ambassador of Great Britain to Armenia Jonathan Aves in Yerevan March 11.

For his part, the Ambassador noted that the investments of Lydian in Armenia will help perceive Armenia as a reliable country for attracting international investments.

“They make investments in line with the highest international standards to ensure environmental security and financial transparency,” said Jonathan Aves.

Simon Fraser said that the government of Great Britain is ready to support the British companies ready to make investments in Armenia.
